SageWiz: a free educational health chat for symptoms, habits and lab results

SageWiz helps you make sense of what you are noticing in your body. You describe your symptoms, habits or lab results in plain words, and SageWiz explains what health research says about them, points out patterns that may be worth tracking, and suggests questions to bring to a clinician. It is free to start, and you do not need an account to try it.

SageWiz is education, not medical care. It is not designed to diagnose, treat or prescribe, and it is not a substitute for a doctor.

What people bring to SageWiz

Fatigue and low energy

Being tired all the time is one of the most common reasons people look for answers. Sleep, stress, food, medicines, iron levels and thyroid function are all associated with low energy, and ordinary blood tests are often the next step to ask a clinician about.

Sleep

Trouble falling asleep, waking at night and waking unrefreshed can have many contributors, from caffeine timing to stress to health conditions. Tracking a few simple things for a week often shows more than guessing.

Brain fog and focus

Brain fog is not a medical diagnosis. It is a word people use for trouble thinking clearly. Poor sleep, stress, some medicines and some health conditions can contribute, which is why it helps to track what changes alongside it.

Hormones and thyroid

Questions about hormones, cycles, thyroid and energy are common. SageWiz explains what the research does and does not show, and which tests a clinician may consider.

How SageWiz works

  1. Ask in your own words. Type what is going on, the way you would tell a friend.
  2. Get a plain answer with safety notes. SageWiz is designed to check each message for signs of an emergency and to say so first when something sounds urgent. No check is perfect.
  3. Go deeper when you want to. A guided interview of about 15 to 25 short questions leads to an educational report written from your own answers, with questions to bring to your visit.

What can cause these symptoms?

Many people search for the root causes of fatigue, bloating or brain fog. Research points to several things that can contribute, and they often overlap: sleep, stress, nutrition, medicines, hormones and underlying health conditions. A general article can explain these possibilities and how strong the evidence is. It cannot tell you what is behind your own symptoms. Only a clinician who knows you can do that.

The background in SageWiz comes from public health sources such as MedlinePlus from the U.S. National Library of Medicine, the CDC and the UK National Health Service, and from peer-reviewed reviews. SageWiz articles list their sources and show their dates.
